Rochester’s one and only all woman and gender minority jazz group, The Fallopian Grooves made their debut at the Fairport Canal Days festival in June of 2022. Since then, they have played shows at such venues as The Little Theatre, Boulder Coffee, Abilene, Ghandi Institute for Nonviolence, Westside Farmer's market, and the University of Rochester donor banquet dinner. The group consists of Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester, and Nazareth College students/alumni working to share their passion for jazz music and advocate for a more inclusive jazz world. If you are a woman looking to connect with other jazz musicians interested in gender equity, you can reach out to the bandleader through our contact page.
